The dynamic lines of the legendary roadster sports car live on in Cartier's classic design. The shape of the lens that magnifies the date recalls the car's flat windshields, the wedge-shaped crown represents the signature fins, the screws strategically placed on the watchface corners resemble the roadster's headlights.
Volumes and details
The passing of time is marked by the distinctive dial, decorated with circles and punctuated with Arabic or Roman numerals. A continuous spiral evolves into a luminous oval, and a touch of metal in the center of the dial creates a relief effect. Volume and contrasting materials are used to create a simple, graphic monochrome or two-color dial with the elegance of a classic sports car.
Dynamic looks for dynamic lives
Roadster watches can be adapted to suit changing moods, with an interchangeable bracelet and straps which can be removed and reattached in moments. The black calfskin strap features fluted top-stitching; the durable brushed-steel bracelet, with its polished links, is eternally elegant; and the classic alligator strap is refined with its touches of black and gold.
