INNOVATION THROUGH THE 20TH CENTURY (2007)
Moscow, The Kremlin Museums
The Cartier, Innovation through the 20th Century exhibition at the Kremlin Museum ushered Cartier through the well-guarded gates of Cathedral Square: staged in the shadow of Ivan the Terrible’s bell tower, with the presidential residence and Red Square nearby, the exhibition was overseen by Zelfira Tregulova, with the expert curatorship of Larissa Peshekhonova, curator of the Kremlin Museum’s jewelry collections. This stunning tribute to the Art Deco style, as yet unfamiliar to the Russian public, once again attracted record-breaking numbers of visitors to the prestigious museum.
