QUETZAL NECKLACE, 2016
This necklace borrows its rich symbolism from Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent-god of Latin American mythology. In tribute to him, the designer has stylised his form to the extreme, to the point of abstraction. The result: lines of white gold and diamonds enhanced with black lacquer that coil in a sinuous movement around a 68.82-carat cushion-shaped cabochon-cut rubellite.
