FAUNA AND FLORA
Cartier’s nature is free, strong, untameable and rebellious. Born of a jeweller’s creativity, freed from traditional representations, Cartier’s fauna and flora exert this same energy.
Since 2010, glyptics – or the art of carving fossil or hard stones – came to Cartier’s ateliers. One of the last masters of the art was integrated into the teams, with the mission to pass this art down to young apprentices. Glyptic art has been recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
