[Sur]naturel, the new High Jewellery collection by Cartier at the Modern Art Museum in Shanghai
From 13 to 25 October 2020, Cartier presented its new High Jewellery collection at the Modern Art Museum in Shanghai.
An exhibition to discover over the course of a magnificent yet intimate visit.
Tutti Frutti, emblematic of the Maison, is ever-evolving. Engraved rubies, sapphires and emeralds are worn up close to the neck.
Resolutely abstract, this necklace is inspired by a crocodile, an iconic animal of the Cartier menagerie. The design plays with the geometry and evocative power of stones to create an illusion of the reptile’s skin.
Fluidity and sinuosity, for a necklace composed of sapphires, lapis lazuli and diamonds whose design evokes the movements of water.
At the centre of the necklace is a Zambian emerald totalling 53.94 carats, a rectangular cabochon with rounded sides. This necklace’s stylised serpentine design boldly embodies the snake’s sinuous silhouette.
