THE IWANA NECKLACE
Texture and dimension, it is the skin of the green iguana that inspired the Maison's design studios to create this jewellery set. It reveals its beauty through a necklace abundant with diamonds and emeralds. As is often the case with Cartier, the idea is not to imitate nature, but rather to suggest and convey an impression of it through an abstract composition.
SAVOIR-FAIRE
The central motif is made up of three uniquely-shaped Colombian emeralds weighing 43.45 carats: cabochon-cut hexagons with very pronounced edges. The facets of the cabochons multiply into a weave of openwork triangular motifs, set or paved with diamonds and emeralds whose location and orientation have been rigorously studied. Connected by tiny metal rings, these elements create a highly flexible necklace. This comfort is the result of the Maison's genuine expertise.
