CARTIER AND ISLAMIC ART
The aim of the Cartier and Islamic Art exhibition is to explore the influence of Islamic art on Cartier's jewellery and objets d'art from the early 20th century to the present day. In search of modernity. This exhibition highlights the uniqueness of this repertoire and the way it has marked Cartier's style. Over 400 pieces - jewellery and objets d'art from the Maison, masterpieces of Islamic art, documents from the Cartier Collection, Cartier's archives and loans from private collectors and institutions - retrace the origins of this interest. Co-curated by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris and the Dallas Museum of Art, with the exceptional collaboration of the Louvre and the support of the Maison Cartier, the exhibition can now be explored at the Dallas Museum of Art, following its presentation in Paris.
