CRYSTALLIZATION OF TIME
Tokyo, National Art Center of Tokyo
October 2 to December 26, 2019
The Cartier exhibition, Crystallization of Time, at the National Art Center of Tokyo displayed a previously unseen look at the Maison’s style.
Created by Hiroshi Sugimoto and Tomoyuki Sakakida from the New Material Research Laboratory, the exhibition explores the creative vision and pioneering spirit of the Maison in three acts: Material Transformation and Colors, Forms and Designs, and Universal Curiosity.
By bringing together a selection of exceptional pieces from the more contemporary – from private collections – to both modern and vintage creations from the Cartier Collection, never before has such a unique collection been brought together for the public.
Cartier, Crystallization of Time is the 35th exhibition dedicated to Cartier.
