The 1912 design of the watch that would later be christened the “Baignoire” demonstrated Cartier's prowess in crafting watchmaking forms. A discreetly elegant ellipse uniquely forged in a single line, the “Baignoire” watch is the essence of Cartier style: a unique marriage of purity and timeless chic.

Baignoire Allongée watch, medium model, Manufacture mechanical movement with manual winding, calibre 1917 MC. Rose gold 750/1000 case and beaded crown set with 267 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 2.67 carats. Silvered dial, blued-steel sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal. Taupe alligator skin strap, rose gold 750/1000 ardillon buckle. Dimensions: 47 mm x 21 mm. Thickness: 8 mm. Water-resistant up to 3 bar (approx. 30 metres).
