For Cartier, time is a precious commodity that demands the full attention of our master watchmakers. Each step is measured and technical, requiring meticulous attention to detail. The Complete Service begins with a personalised diagnosis. This will allow us to determine what work needs to be done to preserve your watch and to ensure it lasts over time.
The watchmaker begins by checking the magnetism of your watch. Its dismantling allows for an overview of all of the disassembled pieces on the workbench.
The watch is then buffed by the polisher, for a polished or satin finish depending on the aesthetics of your piece. They then proceed to ultrasonically clean the case and strap of your watch.
At this stage, all the components of the movement are dismantled, cleaned, checked and replaced if necessary. The movement is then reassembled and tested for the first time.
During the reassembly, which is done entirely by hand, the watchmaker proceeds to reposition the crystal, fit the dial and hands, check the calendar and close the back of your watch.
Lastly, your watch undergoes a final series of tests, starting with the water-resistance test, followed by a functional check, and finally a check that the strap and clasp fit properly.
The Complete Service also entitles you to a 24-month warranty from the date of servicing. The international repair guarantee applies exclusively if all the necessary interventions recommended by the Maison Cartier are carried out at the customer's request.
