Orders & Payments

Cartier creations may be purchased through Cartier boutiques, cartier.com, or via Cartier Client Relations at 1-800-Cartier. Cartier watches, eyewear, and fragrances may also be purchased via Authorized Retailers.

Cartier is pleased to accept the following payment methods as convenient means of payment for boutique, online, or phone purchases: American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB.

To ensure your shopping experience is simple and secure, order and payment transactions are processed using a secure server. Please note that the individual who submits the order must be the cardholder whose name appears on the credit card.

Checks (including personal, traveler’s, or any other kind of check) are not accepted as a payment method across any of our purchasing locations.

Online & Phone Payment Methods

Online and phone purchases may be processed using the above-mentioned credit cards.

Those browsing on an Apple device may use Apple Pay to complete their online purchase. PayPal may be accepted for readily available items; however, PayPal is not available for orders shipped to a boutique for online pick up.

Wire transfers may also be accepted for phone orders.

Cartier Boutique Payment Methods

In addition to the above-mentioned credit cards, Cartier boutiques may also accept wire transfers, gift cards, or cash, with a maximum of two cards and three payment methods total per transaction. Apple Pay is not available for boutique purchases at this time.

Please note that any cash transaction will be subject to AML regulations; single or related transactions exceeding $10,000 must be accompanied by an 8300 form provided by the boutique.

Accepted payment methods and processes may vary depending on the value and method of purchase; please contact your boutique directly if there is a form of payment you’d like to use and do not see listed.

If you purchased your order online while logged in, you may also see more information through your My Cartier account.

Status updates regarding your order will be sent to your email. If you have not received these emails, they may be caught in a spam or deleted folder. As these emails usually do not appear in general email searches and may only appear when specifically searching your spam or deleted folders, we recommend searching these additional email sections with your order number to see if your emails may be located there.

Orders over $30,000 USD may be sent with an alternative carrier; please contact Cartier Client Relations for accurate delivery information on these orders.

Should you need to cancel or change your order, please contact Cartier Client Relations as soon as possible; we will make every effort to accommodate your request. Please note that we cannot guarantee that your order may be adjusted once it has been submitted.

Processed orders may not be cancelled or modified; however, you may return your item subject to our Conditions of Sale.

Once a creation has been personalized, including through our embossing or engraving services, it cannot be returned or exchanged. These items are considered final sale. Please note that you may send your creation to our workshop for complimentary personalization after purchase.

You may purchase, check on your order, follow up on your repair, and more with Cartier Client Relations. To speak with a Cartier Ambassador, please call 1-800-Cartier. 

All creations displaying a “Add to Shopping Bag” button may be purchased online, subject to availability. Some creations, such as lighters, may experience shipping restrictions and are exclusively available for in-person purchase at a Cartier boutique.

If you are interested in purchasing a creation which is listed as “temporarily unavailable” or otherwise unable to be added to your bag, we invite you to please contact Cartier Client Relations, where a Cartier Ambassador will provide you with further information.

Personalization is available on certain creations; we offer engraving for our jewelry and watches, and hot stamping for leather goods. Consult our Personalize Your Creation page to learn more about how you can personalize your Cartier creation.

If personalization is available for a particular creation, it will be indicated on that creation's page. You can also ask for this service when placing an order over the phone or in person. While some personalization services may be available in-boutique, others may require the expertise of our workshops.

Please note that personalized creations cannot be returned or exchanged and may require additional days to personalize and ship your purchase. You may also send your creation to our workshop for complimentary personalization after purchase.

You may purchase a maximum of five Cartier creations in one online order. To discuss special or larger orders, please contact Cartier Client Relations, where an Ambassador will assist you with your purchase.

Please note that we cannot ship to multiple addresses in a single order. Should you need to ship to multiple locations, each address will require a separate order.

Many of our creations are unable to have listed set prices on our site, including solitaire pieces and high jewelry items. For solitaire rings, the value of a creation will depend on the unique characteristics of the stones.

Yes, you can include a personalized message in your purchase. For this option, please write your message in the designated area during the checkout process. If you place your order over the phone, please provide the Ambassador with the message to include.
