Shipping & Delivery

Delivery lead times and fees depend on your delivery address. Any seasonal or timely updates will be available on our Order Delivery and Lead Time page.

Orders placed before 12pm EST will likely benefit from an express delivery of one to two working days. You may see the estimated delivery time on the checkout page while processing your order online.

Personalization services (engraving, embossing, or bracelet adjustments) will require additional time of up to two working days, and limited stock on a creation might require up to seven working days.

Please note that the above days and times are estimates and are subject to adjustments due to unforeseen circumstances.

While most Cartier creations are able to ship within two business days, some items may require additional lead time:

  • Personalized Items: Services such as engraving, embossing, or bracelet adjustments may require an additional lead-time of 1-2 working days.
  • Limited Supply: Creations without immediate availability may require an additional five to seven working days.
  • Animal Products: Products that require a CITES certificate may require an additional lead time of up to 10 working days. Certificates from the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora are needed to import protected products. You will see a notification in your Shopping Bag if you have added one of these products to your order.
  • Fragrance: Please note that due to transport restrictions, we are unable to ship pressurized or flammable items by air. As a result, orders containing fragrance will be delivered via our standard shipping option only.

Clients may use a residential or workplace address where the carrier can hand over the parcel personally. In the interest of security and FedEx policy, an adult over the age of 21 must be present at the delivery address to accept the package.

 

Cartier offers secure complimentary shipping worldwide to select countries and regions. If you would like to ship to a location outside of the United States, please choose your location.

 

For security purposes, we are unable to ship Cartier orders to hotels, pick-up points, PO boxes, military addresses (APO/FPO), and certain restricted areas.

Per FedEx policy, an adult over the age of 21 must be present at the delivery address to sign for the package. Delivery restrictions also may apply for orders that include fragrances. If the order contains multiple items with fragrances, the fragrances may ship separately.

Please note that we are unable to ship to the following countries/territories:

  • Spain: Canary islands, Ceuta, Melilla
  • Denmark: Groenland, Iles Féroé
  • Portugal: Madeira, Azores
  • United Kingdom: Isle of Man, Jersey, Gibraltar, Guernsey, British Virgin islands
  • Finland: Aland
  • Italy: Livigno, Campione d'Italia, Vatican, San Marino
  • Germany: Büsingen am Hochrhein, Heligoland
  • French DOM-TOM (Guadeloupe, Guyane, La Réunion, Martinique, etc.)
  • Liechtenstein

All orders placed on the website or via phone are placed in discreet, protected packaging for delivery.

Most orders will arrive with a flexible white cardboard box inside. Please note that this white box is a shipping material meant to protect the traditional Cartier red box during transit.

Orders via the Cartier website or phone are beautifully wrapped in the signature Cartier gift wrapping and delivered in the traditional Cartier red box. A Cartier shopping bag will also be enclosed within the package.

If you would prefer not to have your order gift wrapped, you can remove this option in your online shopping bag during the checkout process. Please note that gift wrapping is not available for any type of shipped refills or watch straps due to carrier restrictions.

Orders placed for online pickup at a boutique will arrive unwrapped so that you may visually inspect your purchase. If you would like your order to be gift wrapped in the boutique, please book an appointment prior to your pickup.

We are unable to ship a single order to multiple addresses. If you are ordering to more than one address, we suggest placing a separate order for each address.

In the interest of security and FedEx policy, an adult over the age of 21 must be present at each delivery address to accept the package.

If you prefer to have your order shipped to a boutique rather than your home, select “Pick Up from Boutique” as the delivery option. 

Once the order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation. When your order has arrived, you will receive another email indicating that it is time to make a boutique appointment to pick up your order.

Online pick up orders are shipped to the boutique and may require additional time for sourcing and quality inspection. Estimated timing will be noted at the time of purchase.

When the piece arrives at the boutique, you will receive an email indicating that it is time to make an appointment to pick up your order from the boutique.

Orders must be picked up within 30 days of receiving the arrival email. Creations eligible for return will automatically begin the return process after the 30th day.

Appointments to pick up your online pick up order are strongly recommended, as you may experience extended wait times without one.

Additional services such as personalization, sizing, link removal, and gift wrap may be done during a booked appointment, as these may require further time to complete.

Please bring the email indicating that your order is ready for pickup as well as physical, valid photo identification. The name and address on the photo identification must exactly match that of the order. Should the name or address vary in any way, including nicknames, please contact us prior to picking up your creation.

Third party pickups are not permitted for online pickup orders.

Your order will arrive at the boutique unwrapped so you can see your creation; the boutique can gift wrap it for you after should you request it.

Yes, you may initiate the return or exchange process at the boutique, provided the item and timing is in accordance with our Conditions of Sale. You may also initiate the return or exchange process by calling 1-800-Cartier. 
 

Please note that personalized items, including those that have been engraved, embossed, or customized, are not eligible for return or exchange.
